- Like 401(k)s, employee contributions are tax-deferred
- Government automatically contributes 1 percent, even if employee does not contribute. In addition, employees' contributions are matched by the Government: 100 percent for the first 3 percent contributed by you, and 50 percent for the next 2 percent contributed. Flexible and Compressed Work Schedules
- ERS staff may choose their workday start time, between 6 am and 9 am
- Staff may choose to work a compressed schedule in which they work nine, 9-hour days and take the 10th day off; or eight, 10-hour days and take the 9th and 10th days off
- ERS has a telework program, in which eligible employees may telework up to one day per week
