Daniel Ayasse is a mathematical statistician for the Resource and Rural Economics Division at ERS.
Background
Daniel joined ERS in April 2021. Before coming to ERS, he was a mathematical statistician for the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) in the Office of Compensation and Working Conditions. At BLS he helped implement statistical methodologies for programs such as the National Compensation Survey, the Occupational Requirements Survey, and the Survey of Occupational Injury and Illnesses. Prior to BLS, he was a graduate student teacher of introductory statistics courses to undergraduate students. During this time he was also an intern an NASA, where he analyzed breaking loads for Vectran straps that hold inflatable habitats together and that could potentially be used on the Moon and Mars.
Education
Daniel holds an M.S. in Statistics from the University of Missouri and a B.S, in Applied Mathematics, with a minor in Physics, from Missouri State University.
