Daniel Bonin is a research agricultural economist in the Structure, Technology, and Productivity branch of the Resource and Rural Economics Division at USDA’s Economic Research Service.

Background

Dan is an economist from Girdwood, Alaska. He earned his Ph.D. in 2021 from Purdue University with focuses on migration, geography, political polarization, and labor economics. Dan studied mathematics and atmospheric physics at New Mexico Tech as an undergraduate. Before going to Purdue University for his doctoral program, Dan taught math at the University of Alaska Anchorage for several years.
