Briefly

David Donaldson is chief of the Conservation and Environment Branch in the Resource and Rural Economics Division of USDA's Economic Research Service (ERS). Prior to joining ERS, David was head of the Green Growth Unit at the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Commission for Environmental Cooperation. David led the commission's trilateral agenda on transportation, clean energy, and sustainable production and consumption. David previously spent 15 years at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where he led economic analysis and policy development for the regulation of pesticides and for chemicals that deplete the ozone layer.

Education

David holds an M.S. degree in agricultural economics and management from Wageningen University in the Netherlands, and a B.S. degree in economics from the University of Montana.
