Maya Morales is a data scientist in the Conservation and Environment Branch of the Resource and Rural Economics Division at USDA's Economic Research Service (ERS).

Background

Maya joined USDA, ERS in January 2024. Before joining USDA, ERS, she worked as a data scientist, focusing on soil carbon quantification for carbon credit verification. Maya has also worked as a renewable energy analyst where she analyzed the economic and environmental implications of future renewable energy trends.

Education

Maya holds a B.S. in psychology, and a minor in ecology and evolutionary biology from the University of Colorado–Boulder.
