Sara Scott is the assistant director for outreach in the Market and Trade Economics Division of USDA’s Economic Research Service (ERS).

Background

Sara joined ERS as Agricultural Economist in February 2020, returning to USDA after a long tenure in private industry providing economic analysis, financial forecasting, and strategic planning for Kansas City Southern Railway and Farmland Industries. Previously, Sara was an agricultural economist at USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service focusing on market access and policy issues for U.S. grains and feed.

Education

Sara earned an M.S. in Agricultural Economics and a B.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of Missouri.
