Briefly
Samantha Padilla joined ERS as a Research Agricultural Economist for the Animal Products and Cost of Production Branch in Markets and Trade Economics Division in 2019, upon the completion of her doctoral studies. Her research interests include production economics, farm input markets, technology adoption, agricultural policy, and economic development. Samantha’s dissertation research explores the implications of high feed costs and electricity volatility for broiler farm profitability and investment decisions in Nigeria.
